FIPNA wins $1000 Love Your Block grant for Spring

FIPNA has been awarded another Love Your Block grant from the Citizens’ Committee of New York for a volunteer-driven project to beautify our neighborhood.

Last year, we removed the asphalt from around Shalom Alecheim (a Herculean effort!) and planted a beautiful garden, which continues to thrive.

This year, we are going to beautify and landscape the 238th Street Step Street with handmade planters. Below is a picture of how we envision the result.

Thanks to Michael Schelzo, Ryan Graham, Raymond Yee, and Elizabeth Quantara for helping us hone this idea. We look forward to seeing everyone this spring.

And especially, thanks to the Citizen’s Committee for its important work strengthening our communities!
