Day 122 – Once again I start the post with cars parking on the sidewalk.
Also today I snapped a picture of Tony from the nursing home, he is always telling me “take a picture, take a picture” so I had to take this one. He was outside starting with the strikers, I don’t think he read the memo that Helen wrote about not talking to the 1199 members.
The union has already made signs to show the scabs that allegedly Helen has not made the required payments to the workers compensation fund.
Once again I was able to speak with a family member and was told some of the same stuff that I have heard from other family members. They stated that the food is awful, the residents are sitting around the nurses station instead of the day room because of staffing constraints. All the while several staff were seen sitting in the day room watching TV or talking on their phones. Is there any supervision? I asked if Helen or anyone is checking on them and I was told no. The only time the staff got up was to serve the residents drinks.
If everything is great inside like all the ‘insiders’ have been coming here and stating, then why don’t they send us some pictures? Why don’t they let us in to have a look? Why doesn’t Helen have anything to say for herself?
Till tomorrow, STAND STRONG!
