Day 119 – Today started out with a mess of police cars on the street. I was told that the police were there for an altercation, not between the striking workers and the scabs but between Helen’s own private security guards. You heard correctly, the security guards had a fight between themselves and the police were called. I don’t know if any charges were pressed and it did not appear that any arrests were made, but I was told that one of the security guards cell phone was busted in the melee.
Of course there are still cars parked on the street and sidewalk, you can even see this car that was parked in front of the nursing home for several hours and not a ticket to be found, even though the police car is seen blocking a private driveway across the street.
The striking members were out in force today, chanting and marching from pen to pen.
A little while later someone called 911as I was told by the police that arrived on scene, for what reason we still don’t know.
While they were there someone from Cannon Heights came out yelling about the noise and also that the striking members need to stop using curse words in their chants. One of the chants goes “What Helen speak? Bullshit!”, I would not personally consider this word to be so offensive but if this person does that is his opinion. The police handled the situation at hand and then went into the nursing home, a short while later they emerged from the home and called for a detective car to come here.
You can see the detectives and the uniformed officers talking to Isaac, next thing we see is them taking Isaac into the detectives car and then to the precinct.
I was told that there was an outstanding assault complaint filed against Isaac from May when Helen was surrounded entering the nursing home. According to Isaac this is a bogus charge and according to the police there is no video showing any altercation. Isaac said he has been accused by Helen of punching her in her face. You would think if this is true, there would be a video of the event since there are cameras everywhere. Also what about photos of Helen, surely she would have sustained bruises if the event took place?
Anyway, I visited the precinct to make sure all was ok for Isaac and was told they were questioning him in the detective squad and he had representation with him. A couple hours later Isaac returned with no charges being filed, he has a desk appearance ticket to appear in court so Helen can bring her proof of the event. The members were cheering as if the strike was over when Isaac returned.
You can see a new sign in the background, indicating that Helen is provoking all of this trouble lately.
Isaac addressed all the members and told them to stay calm and not to fall for any of Helen’s tricks. He said she is running out of options and will try anything to defeat the union. He also said that he has been here from day one and will be here till the end when all of the members go walking back into the nursing home. It seems to me that Helen has a personal bone to pick with Isaac, especially after I have heard all the stories about the Resort Nursing Home.
This afternoon I saw a resident come out of the nursing home and the security guards tell him he could not leave the front of the building, he proceeded to tell them to move the gates as he was going to visit the striking members on the line.
It seems like Tony has to do everything in the nursing home now, don’t they have any other help? I saw a fuel truck bring in fuel for the backup generator that is behind the building. Tony was trying to figure out how to get the hose to reach from the front parking lot to the back where the fuel tank is.
Lastly, I saw jman(Nadine) leaving the building today, seems like maybe she is a bit worried about what she wrote as you can see Helen’s private security pulled up behind her taxi as she was leaving.
A bunch of the striking members were yelling “Liar – Liar – Pants – On – Fire”!
Till tomorrow, STAND STRONG!
