Day 101 – So now we start to count in the hundreds, when will this end already? For those of you who think this strike does not affect the community around the nursing home let me just show you some more issues we now face because of the strike that is continuing on.
Late last night (after midnight) this police car was parked on the sidewalk facing all the private homes with it’s headlights shining in the windows. What is that about? Why was the car facing that direction anyway? How could the officer see the strikers in both pens from that location while his back was facing one pen? Maybe it was to keep the glare of the nursing homes bright lights out of his eyes? (sorry for the blurry pictures)
Speaking of the nursing homes bright lights, now they are causing new problems too. First they still light up the whole street needlessly, but now they are attracting swarms of bugs to the neighborhood. This is just another blight Helen has brought to this neighborhood.
This morning was another not so good morning for the scabs inside that park their cars in the nursing home front parking lot. It seems like the delivery trucks keep hitting their cars, I hope Helen is paying them enough to cover all the damages to their cars. You can see the truck scraped the whole back bumper of the parked car.
On the subject of cars, once again tonight Helen’s car still sits hiding in the back of the parking lot, 101 days and not moved a bit, what a shame such a beautiful vehicle and it doesn’t ever get used.
The strike line is still manned 24 hours a day and since the 3-11 strike line shift says I never take any pictures of them I figured I would put this up showing them waiting for Helen. Of course this is only a small group in the one pen, the rest are up in the other pen.
I was told today that the union and Helen had a court date yesterday (Thursday) in regards to the benefit fund that the union claims Helen is in arrears too. The explanation I was given was that Helen had to show up and bring certain documents which they said she did not, her explanation to the judge was she couldn’t bring them because she was punched by a union representative last Friday.
If this was true, once again why were there no charges pressed against anyone? What does this have to do with bringing documents to court? I was also told that Helen showed up with her divorce attorney, why? Is she now trying to divorce the union? I cannot believe that she was able to once again delay the whole process. Who is going to hold her accountable and not keep shuffling dates around?
Till tomorrow, STAND STRONG!
