Day 86 – There were two articles in different papers that I found referencing the strike here at Kingsbridge, both are a good read.
It was nice to see the community affairs officers checking up on the situation and straightening the barriers.
It was reported to me that this afternoon there was an incident between a scab worker and a striking worker. The report said that the scab worker invited the striking worker to follow them and then pulled a knife on the striking worker. There were witnesses to this and the police officer on scene attended to the situation but nothing was done. The scab was not searched nor arrested, why? If all involved had to be detained then that is what should have been done, but to do nothing except send everyone on their way is not acceptable. We will be following up with the Captain to see what the story was and why nobody was detained.
Someone took it upon themselves to add to the life size cutout of Helen, they added the words “Helen Murderer” to the front of her shirt. I assume it is meant to reference the untimely death of Audrey and the fact that she had no benefits.
Also today, Helen was seen leaving in a taxi by several members that gathered around the taxi and chanted Murderer, this kept the taxi from leaving until the members were escorted away by the police officer on duty. What happened to Helen’s many hired security guards, why didn’t they intervene?
Tonight I noticed more flowers and candles were placed on the strike line in memory of Audrey, we are still waiting to find out information on where Audrey’s funeral will take place. We will post the information here as soon as it becomes available to us.
Till Tomorrow, STAND STRONG!
