Construction fence @ 3333 Giles Place

It has been well over a month since I reported the hole in the construction fence at 3333 Giles Place, so I decided to call the Community Board and get an updated status and to see what is going on. I guess someone else beat me to it because Diane was already aware that the issue has not been resolved and she stated that she would be looking into it right away.

I will update everyone with more details as we get them. Hopefully this can get resolved quickly now that CB8 is aware that nothing has been done.

I DO HOPE THAT WHEN YOU SPOKE TO COMMUNITY BOARD 8 THAT YOU INFORMED THEM OF THE SEVERAL PROBLEMS AND INCIDENTS THAT HAVE HAPPENED ,BECAUSE THIS FENCE HAS REMAINED OPEN.THIS PROPERTY MUST BE SECURED SO THAT IN THE FUTURE WE WON’T BE ON THIS BLOG TALKING ABOUT A TRAGEDY, THAT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN AVOIDED,IF EVERYONE WOULD JUST DO THEIR JOBS IN THIS CITY…..

That lot on Giles Place has always been a blight on our community. Why don’t we just take it over a create a community garden? Is there any way we could find out. That would be great, fresh flowers and vegetables all summer long. We could sell some of the stuff to give us money for the following years planting. It’s something to think about.
