Day 36 – Today was a beautiful day weather wise. The sun was shining and it was close to 60 degrees. I am so happy the weather is changing as it will make standing on the strike line less stressful.
The security guard from yesterday is still video taping the union members even though he is breaking the law. The police have the NLRB order but are not enforcing it. How hard is it to take away a video camera anyway? The same security guard had the nerve to video tape me going in and out of my house and driveway.
Good news today from the NLRB, apparently Helen Sieger filed for a decertification petition with the NLRB. For more information on a decertification petition click here. The NLRB blocked the decertification petition because of the many unfair labor practices that the Kingsbridge Heights Nursing Home has been charged with.
This is just one of several successes that we as a community of neighbors have to celebrate this week.
The community is working on a candle light vigil for next Friday April 4, 2008. Please look for more information soon, we will be delivering flyer’s to all neighborhood residents.
Till tomorrow, STAND STRONG!
