Strike Update Day 32 – (3/22/2008)

Day 32 – Once again this morning we were greeted by the sweet sounds of Amazing Grace, This Little Light of Mine, and many other beautifully sung songs. Thank you 1199 members we do appreciate it!

Since the nursing home ran the generators last night, I assume they will be doing the same tonight. It is Easter weekend after all, Helen has to disturb the neighbors it is what she does. Since they don’t have alternative lighting I wanted to see what they would install today and sure enough they were out there putting up some big lights.

How many guys does it take to change a light bulb anyway? Apparently 6 or so if you don’t hire the right guys. So now we have these big lights that are going to light up the street so Helen won’t be scared of the dark. However, once again they are not doing something correctly and will be called to task for it soon.

Also today there was a big presence of Police for a short period of time which make you wonder what is going on inside?

I cannot believe that after all these new lights were put in today that the nursing home is still planning on running the generators tonight.

Not only are they running the generators but they have 3 of their new lights on as well. There is no need for the generators as the new lights give off plenty of light as you can see below.

This is day 32 and there are still no negotiations taking place, what is it going to take to get these people back to work. Helen?

Till tomorrow, STAND STRONG!

I stopped reading this newsletter for a few days, but fur some reason today I was drawn to reading it again.Did I read correctly that 20 residents of the nursing home have passed away in a month?? What is going on inside there ? Is anybody checking on these deaths? Is that why the police were there today? Did another person die? What can we do? Please. 5 would like to help those poor people. I won’t be able to sleep nights if I didn’t try to help and someone else dies. Doesn’t this owner have a heart? How does she sleep at night? We’re supposed to be cherishing our older people in their golden years. You wouldn’t do this to your mother, would you Helen Sieger?
