ACTION ALERT — February 2008
Dear Neighbors:
We would like our community to help the workers who are on strike for a contract and health benefits at the Kingsbridge Heights Rehabilitation Care Center (KHRCC).
We feel that calling on our elected representatives to take an active role to resolve this as quickly as possible would really help our neighborhood.
START CALLING MONDAY MORNING
Please call the following officials to explain the situation and let them know we want them to take action to help get the workers a fair contract with benefits, or find a way for the State or Federal government to stop payment to the home based on a fair wage and a union contract.
Call several times during the day, until you get an update. Advise the staff that Assembly Member Jeffrey Dinowitz is the Chair of the Aging Committee of the NYS Assembly, and very interested in helping out.
Assembly Member Naomi Rivera
District Office – 718-409-0109
Council Member G. Oliver Koppell
District Office – 718-549-7300
Thank you for your efforts.
